[edit] whenever I see your name I think of that damn Mini Mall commercial. It took like 30 minutes to do and wasn't lavish or anything, but she really appreciated the effort. Celebrating a 6 month anniversary is something a 15 year old girl does. :lol Originally Posted by captmcblack As for 6-month anniversary gifts, cheap and romantic is good. It's not about trying to "win" anything through romanticism, you should enjoy being romantic as she enjoys you being romantic with her, and vice versa. This is the first time either of us have reached this milestone in a relationship. She's been counting the months since day one, so I figured I needed to do something for the initial half-year. MALL" Damn shits gonna be stuck in my head for the next hour. I gave my girlfriend a bag with a teddy bear, and 180 hershey kisses taped to 180 red and pink little construction paper hearts (I put a random fact on each one about things we've done/said in the 6 months we've been dating). If you want to impress a girl, every once in while you go do something nice for no particular reason. It took me more time to tape the kisses to the paper hearts. There's a romantic inside of all of us, you just have to listen to it, and ignore douches like Wraith. Two reasons I'm making a sort-of big deal about this is are: 1. :-x As for 6-month anniversary gifts, cheap and romantic is good. 6 roses in 6 different colors write a card about what each of the 6 colors mean and how your relationship progressed through each of those meanings over the last 6 months simple, cheap, and most girls love shit like that or a postcard from a brewery festival that says "Maybe it's the beer talking [name], but you've got a butt that won't quit. Setting aside the fact that celebrating an "anniversary" every 6 months is completely retarded, you will be setting a really terrible precedent if you intend to be with this girl for a long time. She wasn't expecting anything, but I thought it'd be nice to do something like this, and it happened to be around 6 months we'd been dating. I bought the teddy bear in the same place I got the kisses from, too.

I figured she'd enjoy looking at each one and seeing what was new behind it. Just writing out 180 facts in that time is impressive enough. But he had to cut out hearts and tape everything to Kisses as well. :lol Originally Posted by scissorfight whatever dude. let guys like wraith here rail on you all they want.

you won't give a shit when she's on your knob like a hobo on a ham sandwich. it could be hard if you have trouble coming up with ideas.

What you described is the kind of thing that a girl will remember for a lifetime. I think wasting that kind of gesture at 6 months is foolish, especially since it's going to be very difficult to top it as you hit 1 year and 2 year marks. If this were his wife or his girlfriend of 4 years, this would be an incredible gesture. Originally Posted by Wraith What you described is the kind of thing that a girl will remember for a lifetime. for our 1 year i made a list of 365 things i loved about her. My 2 cents from a womens perspective: Be origional.

only took like an hour and she still talks about it years later. i remember my friends were absolutely fucking ruthless when they found out. i just had to explain to them that as cheesy as that shit seems to them, the effort put into stuff like that pays for itself many many many times over. Flowers and chocolate are...nice, but they are really cliche.

Actually showing you've paid attention to her and enjoyed getting to know her the past 6 months, and finding a way to creativly do it..quite a memory for her to keep.

Just keep it simple, and you'll enjoy the smile it brings to her face :) Edit: And give her a good memorable fuck too.

My girlfriend and I have our six month anniversary coming up next week and I really have no idea what to get her. Trust, this is not going to be an every 6 months thing and yes, I've been good in doing and buying random nice things for her.

She's not a big jewelry girl even though she works at a jewelry store. I think I've finally got some solid ideas flowing through my head and you guys have helped me put this whole thing into perspective. Don't worry, this won't be falling on any potential Cubs game.

I'm planning a big date and hope to give it to her sometime that evening. It took like 30 minutes to do and wasn't lavish or anything, but she really appreciated the effort. I'll be able to watch their entire NLCS and World Series run.

I know a couple of things that she needs, but they aren't exactly "romantic." Maybe I'm falling into a cliche here and I shouldn't, so if that's the case, let me know! Not necessarily 180 facts, but little random things like a joke she made once, or a place we went once, or something that has nothing to do with anything, but she'd find it funny..even little doodles and such. :lol Not only that, but he did the whole thing in a half hour. : D PS - I was thinking of something more along the lines of a "Cold Mike" or the "Angry Dolphin." Keep 'em coming though, fellas!
