Over the next decade Kenny trained in everything from tap to jazz to acrobatics, becoming one of Boston's rising young dance stars.
In 2009, he was also among the dancers in the Video Music Award's Michael Jackson Tribute with Janet Jackson.
When Kenny is not dancing, he can be found writing music in his home studio, or cuddling up with his girlfriend, Pussycat Doll, Ashley Roberts.
Kenny currently resides in Los Angeles, California.
Kenny Wormald stars in "Footloose" (2011), opposite Julianne Hough, Dennis Quaid and Andie Mac Dowell, in the lead role of Ren Mc Cormack, made famous by Kevin Bacon in the original 1984 movie.
Kenny Wormald grew up in Boston and he has a "Southie" accent to prove it.
He started dancing at the age of 6, after his mother found him popping to a New Kid's On The Block video.
Desperate for a place to channel her son's boundless energy, she enrolled him in a dance class at Beantown's prestigious Sherry Gold Studios where his talent was recognized immediately.
It was from that and a chance meeting at Millennium Dance Studios with casting director Karen Meisels which led to Kenny having the opportunity to audition for and ultimately be cast in the direct-to-video "Center Stage 2," his first leading role as an actor.
Kenny also appeared as a dancer in the feature films "You Got Served" and "Clerks 2." Kenny has danced in videos for Madonna, Mariah Carey, Prince, Jo Jo, Christina Aguilera, Chris Brown, Kylie Minogue, and Nelly Furtado.
